About

Bonnie Van Voorst is a graphic designer and fine artist living in the Tampa area. She received her degree in Studio Art from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She has designed and printed promotional materials for musical groups and events including posters, logos, flyers, and business cards, as well as wedding monograms, stationary, and greeting cards. One of her most recent projects was a hand-drawn alphabet poster, specially created to coordinate with the decor of a baby’s room. She also created a pair of posters focused on using strong images to promote awareness of issues of social injustice.

Bonnie enjoys working with a variety of media, both digital and physical, including acrylics, oils, ink, textiles, graphite, charcoal, digital photography, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign. Her work has a strong graphic quality, regardless of medium, incorporating large areas of color and more delicate lines. She also has experience with wedding, event, and band photography.

She teaches art at Berean Academy, a Classical and Christian school, where she focuses on cultivating an awareness of individual creativity and a desire to use that creativity to glorify God. She lives in her grandparents’ old house, which she is renovating with her husband, saxophonist and composer Rich Van Voorst, and their helpful cat Abby.

With Abby!
